The Educational Talent Search program is one of the federally funded TRIO programs, created to help low-income, first generation students prepare for college. Talent Search provides academic support, college awareness, career exploration, financial aid information and application assistance to middle and high school students.
Our program serves 600 students in five DC Public Schools: Kelly-Miller and Macfarland Middle Schools and Bell Multicultural, Roosevelt and HD Woodson High Schools. More than 80% of the students who participate in our program enroll in college.
If you attend one of our target high schools and would like to participate in Talent Search, please contact the Talent Search Advisor for your school:

“The Talent Search program has helped me get through high school and into college. Ms. Coble, my Talent Search advisor, has pushed me to apply for scholarships and helped me through the college and scholarship application process. If it were not for the consistent support of the Talent Search program, I would have never gotten accepted into college or be a recipient of multiple scholarship awards. I thank the Talent Search program for all they have done and hope that future students at my school will have the assistance I had.”
